Extra Hoopla Borrows!
We love our patrons! So much so that we are giving our patrons three extra Hoopla borrows per month. As a result, patrons now have eight checkouts per month to use instead of the previous five. Check out everything Hoopla has to offer here.

Most herb lovers agree that freshly grown herbs are much better than dried or purchased. However, winter tends to put a cramp in what can be grown outside. Take heart; several culinary herbs can be easily grown inside with little effort.
Join Certified Master Gardener Carol Shirk for tips on growing herbs, which ones will do best inside, and how to move them outside when the weather warms.

Become a Friend of the Mayville Public Library
The FRIENDS founding officer is stepping down (NOT away!) to pursue a more behind-the-scenes role in supporting the Friends. We still need a president to take the reins. Could it be you? You don’t need to be an officer to be a FRIEND! Become a FRIEND for as little as $10 a year or FREE if you’re a teen! Join us in the Library Meeting Room on the 11th for some coffee, water, snacks, and/or sweets to find out more. Meet some of the other Friends! It’s an exciting time to be involved as a Friend of Mayville Public Library! Not only does the group continue to contribute to Library programming as it has for the past seven years by funding Summer Library Programs, the purchase of Teen materials, and a variety of staff-initiated events and programs. In addition, the group has pledged to set aside 50% of our fundraising for the Teen Section of the new Mayville Public Library.
Mitten Weather Storytime

Spice of the Month Club is back! You can pick up your bag complete with recipes and the mystery spice of the month tomorrow, Saturday, December 11th. Kits will be available until the end of the month or while supplies last. Be sure to tag us in photos of your creation on Instagram @mayvlib
