The November topic for the Genealogy Round Table is “Ask, Show, and Tell”. During this session participants will be given the opportunity to ask research questions, show their great finds, and tell the group more about their family’s history. The group meets at the Mayville Library at 6:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month, and the next meeting falls on Thursday, November 18th because of Thanksgiving. Newcomers are always welcome! NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it’s your chance to put that great idea for a novel on paper. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. Pushing yourself to write so much in one month silences your inner editor and lets your creativity flow.

Mayville Public Library is collaborating with the Writing Center of the UW-Madison to bring you opportunities join a community of aspiring and accomplished writers. Through workshops, pep talks, community write-ins, and more, you’ll have plenty of chances to meet writers of all abilities, learn writing strategies and tools, and build writing habits. We’ll even celebrate your accomplishments!
