Library Assistant II-Tech Services

DATE OPEN: August 17

DATE CLOSED: Open until filled; interviews will begin early September 2022 and continue until position filled.

The Mayville Public Library seeks a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual to work in a position that serves in both circulation and tech services.

Responsibilities: Essential duties of this part-time position include performing circulation procedures, assisting patrons with technology, processing interlibrary loans, processing materials, answering questions over the phone and in person, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position should have at least a high school diploma though an associate degree or equivalent is desired. The candidate should have good customer service and communication skills, a desire to learn library-associated programs and systems, and experience using smart phones and other devices. Library experience is preferred but not required.

MAYVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Library Page – Circulation Services

DATE OPEN: August 17, 2022

DATE CLOSED: September 10, 2022. Interviews start the following week.

The Mayville Public Library seeks a junior or senior high school student to take on the Library Page position.

Responsibilities: The Essential duty of this part-time position is shelving material. Duties include helping to maintain the collection by shelf-reading, weeding from lists, and tidying displays, and other duties as assigned. The person in this position may also help with programming, especially during the summer months.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position should be a junior or senior in high school and be able to work two hours a day, three days a week. The candidate must be able to sort in alphabetic and numeric order, be able to push a cart of books, and have an interest in learning basic library procedures.
