“Kids, come and read to me at the library on Monday, Feb. 23 from 3:30 – 5 pm”

Betty Boop is coming to Mayville Public Library on Monday, February 23th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. She’s a R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dog) and she’ll be here for kids to read to. Studies have shown that reading to a therapy dog helps children relax, increases their interest in reading and improves their reading skills. Please call ahead or come into the library before Feb. 23 to sign up for a 15-minute visit with Betty Boop and her adult handler. At the first visit, a responsible adult will need to come with the interested child to sign a permission slip and meet Betty. For more information, call the friendly people at the Library desk (387-7910)!
