Summer Reading 2018!

Summer Reading 2018 is ready to begin. This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock”. Stop at the library on or after June 4 to pick up a reading log. Keep track of your reading each week and then bring your log to the library (starting June 18) to receive a prize. We are also kicking off summer reading with a Library Fun Day on Wednesday, June 20 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. There will be face painting, ice cream by A-OK 4H, crafts, legos, and a STEM project. Stop by that night for the fun!

Mayville Auxiliary Unit 69 makes donation of books to Mayville Public Library

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, Alixe Bielot, Library Director, Mayville Public Library and Sheila Steger, Children’s Librarian, Mayville Public Library accepted a generous donation from the Mayville Auxiliary Unit 69. Seven children’s picture books and two stuffed animals (to be used with two of the books) were presented by Judy Pfalzgraf, Mayville Auxiliary Unit 69 President, Mary Ann Ballback, Mayville Auxiliary Unit 69 Poppy Chairman and several other auxiliary members. These items were purchased from the Auxiliary Poppy Sales as a way to give back to the Mayville community. Carolyn Mathews, a member of the Mayville Auxiliary, read one of the donated books to the children during both story time programs at the library that day. Mayville Public Library would like to thank the Mayville Auxiliary for this wonderful donation. The children of Mayville and the surrounding community will enjoy these books for many years to come.
